Sex toys on a budget

Sex toys are something we all have or at least want, but sometimes you just can’t afford them right now. However, sexual implements don’t have to cost a fortune so that you can get your kink on.

What are sexual implements?

Sexual implements can be everyday items you have lying around the house, and they can often be repurposed as sex toys or implements if you want to get a little freaky. It just takes a little imagination to turn household items into sexual implements. You can get them from just about any retail store.

So what items can be used as sexual implements?

If you are into bondage but can’t afford restraints, here are some everyday items you can use to get into bondage.

  • Cable ties can be used as ankle or wrist restraints, and they are relatively cheap if you don’t have any laying around at home. Always ensure they aren’t too tight and have a pair of scissors handy when you are ready to remove them.
  • Scarfs, ties, and belts can also be used as bondage restraints, and you are bound to have some of these at home.
  • Plastic wrap is another everyday item that you can use in bondage play; always make sure that your partner is comfortable and that you can remove the plastic wrap easily with shears. Check-in with your partner during your play session to ensure they don’t get too hot with the plastic wrap.

If your partner wants a collar to wear during a scene, you don’t have to blow the budget on a collar from a sex store, and you can get some really nice collars and leashes at your local pet store for a lot less money. Make sure to buy the right size collar so that your partner isn’t uncomfortable during the scene.

If you are into impact play, just about any item can be used to get the juices flowing. Wooden spoons, spatulas are great items to use. You can even try wooden or plastic rods that you can buy at a hardware store, and they come in different lengths, and you definitely make use of them again. A hairbrush can also be used or even a belt, depending on your pain threshold.

Sexual implements weren’t made with kinky sex in mind, so always make sure to inspect them before use so that they don’t splinter or break them while you are using them. If you are using any sexual implements as sex toys, always make sure to have a good pair of scissors or shear nearby.
