Marilyn Manson We Are Chaos

Marilyn Manson We Are Chaos. His new album is possibly one of his best albums yet, and there is such a human element to it that just about anybody could resonate with several of his songs. This album was released in the year of chaos, fitting perfectly into the description of 2020 and our current situation.

Manson has always been the hard rock villain of our times, his music often blamed for the so-called corruption of teenage minds; I have been a fan of Marilyn Manson since I was a teenager. My rebellious adolescent years were blamed on my choice of music and being “morally” corrupted by the lyrics and “satanic” meanings of songs, LOL.

There was definitely a shock factor to his music in the 90s; however, this is what made him unique as he willingly took the title and all the BS that came with it. Regardless of whether you liked him then or now, his music has made him a household name with all the filth and rage that made him, The God of Fuck.

Marilyn Manson We Are Chaos album’s first released song, ‘We Are Chaos’ could be the anthem for 2020, crooning lyrics to the likes of “In the end, we all end up in a garbage dump. But I’ll be the one that’s holding your hand.”  Or “Am I a man or a show, a moment?” questioning who he is to others? With a Beatles-like acoustic sound, however, still true to the Marilyn Manson industrial sound, we have all grown accustomed to

‘Paint you with my love.’ There is a raw element of emotion to the song showcasing his musical range, the lyrical poetry he implements, and the darkness of all love.

‘Halfway and one step forward.’ It opens with a clean, crisp sound that creates an eerie symptom of our current world “You got champagne problems, Don’t wanna know, Don’t need to know, You got champagne problems.”

This album is romantic and heartbreaking, and it takes the listener along a ride of the highs and lows of love and life. Deep, meaningful lyrics that would speak to many of us in this broken world we all live in and share. The album is the epitome of the industrial goth rock genre.

Marilyn Manson and Shooter Jennings together have created an honest and raw album, and you pick up their shared admiration of David Bowie and T.Rex among many of their musical influences, using all of these to create this album. Which essential influenced songs like ‘Perfume’ and ‘Keep my head together’. Manson shows the world a piece of himself we so rarely see.

Marilyn Manson We Are Chaos. Is he a man or a show? Regardless, this album is a masterpiece. A must-have for any Marilyn Manson fan collection. The epitome of the industrial goth rock genre.
