Pansexual
Pansexual is a sexual, romantic, and emotional attraction to a person regardless of their gender identification. Pansexual is also often referred to as omnisexual.
Pansexuality is gender blind; you don’t fall in love with a gender. You fall in love with the person regardless of what that person identifies as sexually. You are sexually attracted to a person, not to what they identify as. Pansexuality rejects the gender binary and is considered more accepting and inclusive than bisexuality.
Bisexuality has often been characterized as an attraction to both sexes, male and female. Many people that initially identified as bisexual neither felt straight nor gay, but at that time, bisexual was the least complicated way to identify themselves as. Pansexuality is an attraction to people regardless of whether they are male or female, intersex or transgender; it is an all-inclusive attraction or love.
Many celebrities have come out as being pansexual over the last few years. It created a talking point, which helped many people realize that they, too, are pansexual. Pansexuality has helped many people feel more included in the world of love and sex.
It is sad in a sense that we need celebrities of some sort to bring light to issues so that more people will become aware and accepting of all people in the world. However, our world is a lot more accepting of sexual orientation and identities, which has allowed many people to be more open about who they are and how they identify themselves. We no longer have to live in a world that only sees black and white but all spectrum colors.
Regardless of how you identify yourself, whether you are intersex, female, male, or outside the gender binary, this world is big enough for all of us, and we all have a place in this world no matter what.
The sooner people become more accepting of each other, the better our world will become. There is an old saying, “Don’t judge a book by its cover” many people will often quote it, but very few take heed of its true meaning. Please get to know a person before you try to judge them, and you might surprise yourself and learn from them.
We all have issues and insecurities in life, why judge someone you don’t know? Live and let live.
