Dangerous submissives

Dangerous submissives do exist. We often hear and read about fake Doms and dangerous Dom/me’s. How to spot them and avoid them, and which red flags to look out for during your search. Very seldom do you hear about bad or dangerous submissives.

Unfortunately, in this world, you get people that are willing to put everything at risk. They make dangerous choices and decisions that not only put them at risk but could put you at risk too.

So as a Dom/me, it would be best if you looked out for red flags or dangerous behavior when it comes to potential submissives. Many young adults are interested in BDSM, which is excellent in a sense, as more people understand kink, and many are learning and doing research that will help people from being kink-shamed in the future. However, many submissives have watched 50 Shades and believe they know everything now.

If you have met a potential submissive before you get too invested, have them learn. You can recommend books you want them to read and terms and articles you want to understand. A red flag is a submissive who doesn’t want to learn or understand their kinks or limits.

Limits are significant; this is a huge red flag if you have a potential sub that claims to have no limits. Everyone has limits regardless of who they are. A Dom/me has limits, and subs should have limitations too. If they don’t have any boundaries, it means they don’t know themselves or their bodies. Yes, granted, you have many newbie subs who just want to please and accommodate potential Dom/me’s, so they are willing to do anything. If this is the case, don’t engage in play until they have established limits and boundaries.

Unfortunately, as mentioned above, thanks to 50 Shades and other misleading BDSM shows and movies, submissives expect a Dom/me to be in Dom mode all the time. As we all know, this is impossible and unrealistic; we all have jobs, responsibilities, and lives that we need to manage above everything else. If a submissive can not understand that you too are human and have emotions and needs to, this is a major red flag as well.

It is hard to find a partner you click with, where your kinks align when looking for potential subs for a relationship or dynamic. However, settling for a submissive that already has red flags could lead to a dangerous dynamic. You need to be able to trust a submissive to use a safeword, to understand and know their limits.

Please don’t settle for less than you want; it is one thing to teach an inexperienced sub about BDSM and its limits, its dangerous to engage with someone willing to push boundaries they don’t understand or know they have.
